Adobe Creative Cloud Mac Download Error

Error code 1: Installation failure. Error code 1 indicates that the Creative Cloud apps on your device. The Adobe Application Manager or the PDApp.exe is installed in the PDApp folder. When you try to install or update any Adobe application from Creative Cloud desktop application, it invokes this process to run in the background. Renaming the folder will force close the process running in the background.

Option #1: Software Center

Mac users can download the Creative Cloud Desktop App for Ringling-issued notebooks using the link below:

NOTE: You must be on campus Wi-Fi or connected to the VPN in order to download the Creative Cloud Desktop App and to manage Adobe applications.

Once installed, you will find a new folder called Adobe Creative Cloud. Double-click on Adobe Creative Cloud to launch.

Once you are signed in, you will be able to download and install Adobe products that are available to you.

Option #2: Direct Download

Mac users with a Ringling-supplied computer or using their own computer can download the Creative Cloud Desktop App using the link below (you must have administrator rights for this):

Open the downloaded DMG. Inside you will find the RCAD_MACCCDA.pkg file. Important: you will likely receive an error if you simply double-click it. To open a pkg file that is not from Apple's App Store you can right-click the pkg file then choose open.
